Jeffrey D. Camm is Professor and Head of the Department
of Quantitative Analysis in the College of Business
at the University of Cincinnati. He has also been a
Visiting Professor at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth
College and a Visiting Scholar in the Department of
Operations Research at Stanford University. He currently
serves as Editor-in-Chief of Interfaces. The University
of Cincinnati has awarded him the titles of Research
Fellow in the College of Business and Fellow of the
Graduate School of the University in recognition of
his contributions to graduate education and research
Dr. Camm is well known for his research related to
mathematical programming applications in resource allocation,
location, supply chain optimization and distribution
system design and for developing modeling techniques
and algorithms for integer programming. He has over
30 refereed publications in journals such as Management
Science, Operations Research, Science, Interfaces, and
Land Economics. One of his co-authored papers, applying
integer programming to P&G’s supply chain,
was a finalist in the prestigious Edelman Award competition
for best applications of operations research methods.
He also won the INFORMS Prize for the Teaching of OR/MS
Practice in 2006. Dr. Camm has co-authored two textbooks,
been invited to speak at several Universities and governmental
agencies, and offered tutorials at National Meetings
of professional societies.
Dr. Camm’s research has been sponsored by Argonne
National Labs, Office of Naval Research, Environmental
Protection Agency, and several other organizations in
the U.S. and Australia. He has also consulted extensively
with such organizations as Road Runner Sports, Procter
& Gamble, Senco, Perfetti van Melle, GE Plastics,
and Louisville Gas and Electric. He has also been active
in serving on editorial boards, chairing meetings, and
refereeing for professional societies and journals.
Dr. Camm is married with three daughters and enjoys
running, hiking, and blues and bluegrass music.
