Urban Pole Maps
This slide shows the position of the urban poles (Large Area Influences). The urban poles are shown here as large dots on the map. Urban poles attract or repel certain types of land use growth based on their value (positive or negative). The poles shown here are downtown (top right), a major highway interchange (left), and a large industrial park (right).

Also shown is the influence map for the first urban pole (downtown). White shading indicates a large influence and darker shading indicate less influence.
